What if weight loss isn’t only about eating and exercise? Think about it…there are people that “do everything right” with their nutrition and exercise. They still can’t lose weight!
Yes, eating healthy and exercise are very important, however, not the only thing to be looking at!
There are other things that significantly impact our body that may affect weight loss.
Toxins are one of them. There are many chemicals in:
- The air we breathe
- The water we drink
- The foods we eat
- Cleaning products we use
- Laundry Soaps and Dryer Sheets
- Materials Used in our Homes
Some of these we can control and others we can’t. When these chemicals get into our bodies, they can affect our hormones which affect weight loss!
There are over 80,000 synthetic chemicals registered in the US. 80,000!! Wow!
You know these chemicals have not been heavily studied and some…not at all. Interestingly, at least 1300 chemicals have been banned in Europe, however, are still used in products today in the US.
Why does this matter?
- Affect the brain and nervous system
- Can cause reproductive issues
- Can cause cancer
- Affect our hormones which dictate weight loss
- Affect our respiratory system and so much more
My story with regular cleaners. I used to live in Tulsa, OK and there is a winter there. When I’d clean my bathroom, I would have to open the window in the bathroom while I was cleaning the shower because the smell was so overwhelming!
It’s the smell!
I was using the National Brand Cleaners because I thought the “smell” from the cleaners is what made the house clean. What I know is that smell would make my lungs hurt and make me light-headed. I will admit, it was a huge switch to “let go” of what I thought was “clean”.
Hmmm….maybe I shouldn’t have been using the products.
Even when it comes to our skincare, makeup, lotions, shampoos, laundry soaps and more. We are putting chemicals on our bodies DAILY! Most National Brand products have a bunch of chemicals in them. We can be putting over 100 different chemicals on our body every single day!
You can make small changes everyday that can lead to BIG results.
Yes…small changes do lead to BIG results!
How does this pertain to weight loss? Again, these chemicals get into our system and start messing with our hormones. If our hormones are out of whack, guess what…we won’t lose weight…PERIOD.
