When playing golf, there is nothing more frustrating than hitting a bad golf shot. We all want “solid contact” with each shot.
Speaking from experience, many times when I don’t have solid contact with the ball, my hips are sliding (swaying) instead of having a hip turn. I also know when my body is tired, the sway can creep in to my swing.
What is a “sway?” This is during your backswing, you slide your hips toward your back foot on the takeaway and then on the follow through. That means you are not turning at the hips which is where you are going to get more power.
This video has a great exercise and drill you can do to help with the golf sway.
